DCHS will be in session tomorrow, Friday, August 26th. However, parents/guardians are encouraged to evaluate their own specific circumstances (e.g. proximity to coast line, tidal water) and determine the best course of action to insure your safety with the approach of Hurricane Irene. If unable to attend, students are reminded to check Renweb and Moodle.

1st Period – 8:15 – 9:15

Transition – 9:15 – 9:20

2nd Period – 9:20 – 10:10

All games for today are canceled!
Boys baseball will practice in Seaford today at 4:15.
Boys and Girls Lacrosse will practice in the gym today until 4:30.
Girls softball will practice in the gym at 4:45.
Boys and Girls Lacrosse game is tentatively scheduled for tomorrow, more info to come.

All girls must have their Royal Ball dresses approved. There are sign up sheets opposite the lockers. Please pick a day and time when you can bring your dress to school, try it on, and have it approved.

There will be prayer and the Word today at lunch in Mr. Scott’s room.
We will be exploring “Why We Pray”.

Brew Ha Ha Friday

The Royal Yearbook staff will be holding Brew Ha Ha Friday this Friday, March 19. Everyone is welcome to purchase homebaked cookies, coffee, and/or hot chocolate. Students may also opt to wear jeans and a DCHS shirt.

And, the cool thing is that first-period teachers have agreed to allow students to bring coffee and/or hot chocolate to class as long as the cups have lids and drinks are kept away from computers and other electronic devices.

Cookies will be available for $1. Coffee and/or Hot Chocolate will be sold for $2.00 a cup. Students wishing to wear jeans and any DCHS shirt can do so by paying $3.00. Of course, everyone is welcome to mix and match any of the options.

Remember — Students who will be wearing jeans and a DCHS shirt must bring a change of clothes in the event the jeans and/or shirt are deemed inappropriate. Jeans must be modest (not tight) and must not be ripped or torn.

Pre-orders are being taken now. If you have not pre-ordered or if you would like to change your order, please do so by Wednesday morning. Money will be collected on Friday.
