iLearn

Through several different partnerships, Delmarva Christian High School is excited to provide students learning opportunities that meet their individual needs and goals. DCHS has partnered with Regent University to offer online dual enrollment courses, and Palm Beach Atlantic University and Indiana Wesleyan University to offer on-campus dual enrollment courses. DCHS has also expanded its partnership with Sevenstar to provide a wide range of online course options.
Dual enrollment provides the opportunity for students to receive college and high school credit for the same course at the same time. Students enrolled in dual enrollment courses get a head start on their college education and save money while taking rigorous college courses. Students interested in participating in the program must contact DCHS to receive application procedure information, and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Once a student has been accepted into the dual enrollment program and successfully completes a course, the student is recognized as an accepted student to that university waiving any future application fees to that university. Dual enrollment courses appear on the DCHS transcript as well as the university’s transcript.
DCHS has partnered with accredited universities; therefore, these university credits are likely to transfer to other colleges and universities. However, parents and students are encouraged to contact colleges and universities, other than those that have partnership with DCHS, to verify and ensure the transfer of credits before enrollment in a dual enrollment course.
iLearn courses taken during the fall and spring trimesters will cost full-time DCHS students $200 for on-campus dual enrollment courses, $400 for online dual enrollment, and $400 for Sevenstar courses (courses taken with a qualified online instructor while at DCHS) in addition to DCHS tuition. Students will be responsible to cover the cost of any textbooks or materials required for the course.
iLearn dual enrollment courses offer a tremendous opportunity to save on the cost of college. Each iLearn dual enrollment course comes at a savings of over $1000 (these courses, if taken at a university, start at $1400) and allows students to earn three (3) college credits from an accredited university.
Full-time DCHS students who have an average of 95% or higher at the end of their sophomore year, an exemplary behavior record, and the approval of the guidance counselor will be able to take advantage of the dual credit Early College option through the iLearn program. Students on this path will be able to replace select DCHS core classes with equivalent college classes.
Students on this path will save a significant amount of money through the Early College option, compared with the cost of taking the same courses at Regent University after high school graduation.
This course focuses on students developing an understanding of the concept of life calling and the discovery of one’s God-given design as a basis for this calling. Students are led to understand how work and individual leadership is best understood from this life calling perspective. Students will evaluate their foundational values, unique design and personal mission as well as examine each component in an in-depth paper and integrate this into a life and leadership plan.
