The goal of our academic program is to be intentionally and fully Christian in our curriculum while we help develop the entire student, mind, body, and soul.

In grades 9-12 (rhetoric stage), the high school implements a unique curriculum designed with national standards awareness. From that solid foundation DCS teachers develop curriculum that often exceeds state standards and fully prepares students for post-secondary experiences. Distinct to our high school continuum is a powerful triad of junior and senior year courses called Biblical Life Calling, Apologetics, and Senior Thesis Project. Within them, students discuss and debate their foundational values, unique design, and personal mission statement as capstones to their experiences as a DCS student.

Teachers are required to annually review their curricula and, with oversight from school leadership, make necessary changes to more strategically impact each student. The Curriculum Coordinator and Director of Instruction passionately pursue vertical alignment between all courses and grade levels.

Course Catalog

We believe our courses help shape and define the future of our students.

Learning Enrichment Program

Knowing that every student is gifted in different way, the DCHS Learning Enrichment Program (LeAP) exists to create pathways to success for Delmarva Christian High School students with documented academic need.

Dual Enrollment

To promote the highest level of learning for each student, DCHS offers several dual enrollment opportunities for juniors and seniors.

iPad

iPads have been integrated with our curriculum to encourage students to use technology in a constructive way. Our aim is to give DCHS students a unique opportunity to learn using the tools they will encounter in college and the workforce.

J-Term

Explore your passion. Advance the Kingdom.

J-Term, a two-week period between fall and spring trimesters, encourages students to pursue their passions in a non-traditional learning setting. Students may choose to serve, explore, or participate in a number of interests. Students become involved in mission ministries locally or abroad, short-term career internships, academically-focused projects, conferences, and numerous other growth opportunities.

The purpose of J-Term is for Delmarva Christian High School students to recognize how their passions align with their God-given gifts and talents.

Senior Thesis Project

Working within the framework of the stated mission of Delmarva Christian High School – “to academically, physically, and spiritually prepare students to know and do God’s will for their lives” – the Senior Thesis is the culminating experience of the student’s time at DCHS.
