Math And Mind

A new after-school math program, designed to provide students more personal attention to compliment the after-school academic coaching program, has been launched at DCHS. The program, called Math and Mind, meets on Wednesdays from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mrs. Diane Twisselmann, a certified teacher with 11 years of teaching experience and currently a guidance counselor with the Indian River School District, directs the program. She is assisted by Dr. Sara Timmons a certified teacher with 5 years of teaching experience who has recently completed the Administration Leadership doctoral program at the University of Delaware.

An online tutoring program will supplement the direct instruction providing students an incredible opportunity to improve their understanding of math concepts. To enroll in the program students must be recommended by a member of the math department.
